James felt a chill roll down his spine.  He couldn’t lose Alyssa.  He tried to call the store again, but didn’t get an answer.  He had to do something, and he had to do it now.
The 7/11 was about a mile away, too far to run.  His car was smashed into the side of a building; the only option left was the old truck in the garage.  James started looking for keys to the truck and found them hanging on a hook next to the door leading into the garage.  He knew they had to be the right keys because of the embossed Ford logo on the key.  He had worked himself up into a frenzy thinking of Alyssa.  He heard the banging on the door so he knew the crazy lady was right outside the door.  In one fluid motion James opened the door and planted the heel of his shoe directly in the chest of the lady.  This sent a shock of pain to his hurt ankle but he didn’t care.  The crazy went flying backwards and there was an audible crack as her skull came into contact with the cement.  The crazy ladys body jerked a few times, and then went still.

James hit the garage door switch by the door and started walking towards the truck.  He was halfway around the side of the truck when he glanced towards the driveway and saw 3 more crazies coming towards the garage.  He ran to the driver’s side door and unlocked it; he got in the cab about a second before the crazies arrived in the garage.  They started hammering at the windows trying to get to him.  James put the key in the ignition and it fired right up.  “The old lady must of had it serviced regularly” he thought to himself.  This made him laugh a little.  He was thinking of a vehicles service history as 3 people were trying to kill him.  It had been a while since James had drove a stick, he put it into gear, released the clutch and the motor stalled. One of the crazies cracked the passenger side window, and with another blow shattered it. He tried again, this time making sure to release the parking brake.  The truck jerked forward. James spun the wheels as he left the driveway and headed towards Alyssa’s work.  He looked in the rear view mirror and saw the 3 crazies chasing him along with a few others who had joined them. He had to slow down several times to avoid a crazy or a vehicle in the road.  It was amazing to James that everything could go to hell so fast. It hadn’t even been an hour yet since his accident and it seemed like a war zone already.  James arrived at the 7/11 in less than 5 minutes.  He pulled into the parking lot and immediately his attention was focused inside the store where there was a group of crazies kneeling on the floor next to a body.  James floored the gas pedal and crashed the truck into the store.
